APPLICATION
It is used to realize single crowns, bridges and “full contour” elements.
Dental technicians appreciate Zirconia because it is easy to work with (CAD-CAM technology) and achieves an excellent aesthetic result. This characteristic feeds a growing interest in a more translucent material.
REMARKS ON TRANSLUCENCY
Zirconia translucency depends on raw material and on sintering parameters.
- Higher percentage of Aluminium Oxide in Zirconium Oxide powder means lower translucency
A poly-crystalline product is less translucent than a mono-crystalline one. Due to that Zirconia becomes more translucent by removing Alumina crystals.
- Sintering parameters directly influence the level of Zirconia translucency
Micrographs carried out on Zirconia specimens with different sintering temperatures and permanence time at such temperatures, show that bigger crystals, resulting from higher sintering temperatures or longer permanence, give a greater translucency to the material.
At the same time, the grain size influences in a negative way the values of mechanical, hydrothermal and aging resistance of Zirconia.
- Raw material is essential to achieve translucency and to avoid the decline of technical characteristics
Hydrothermal and aging resistance, in particular, may have a severe decline if low quality raw materials are used. In this case it is possible to work Zirconia the same respecting translucency requirements requested by dental technicians, but the final framework during the years may show problems due to the use of a unsuitable material.
ZYTTRIA® material produced by CONCEPT achieves a great result: Zyttria® Z402 EXTRA-TRASLUCENT has a very low content of Alumina (<0,1%) and a sintering temperature between 1500°C and 1530°C, crystals are big enough but with values that are not greater than 300nm.
All these characteristics guarantee a high translucency, but at the same time, suitable hydrothermal characteristics and restance to aging.

Thanks to its technical know how CONCEPT has developed ZYTTRIA® Z402 EXTRA-TRASLUCENT PLUS that unites high translucency and a very high level of technical performance which is a feature of Zirconia.

High translucent pre-coloured Zirconia, available with different chromatic characteristics:

The colouring of the prosthetic structure, after sintering, results homogeneous on the whole piece.
The ceramic pigments are mixed to the Zirconia powder with a technology that it is able to ensure to the granulate a uniform and constant colouring.
The pre-colored colors allow you to have the ideal base to achieve the required tooth colour and they will avoid the dental laboratory to pay extra costs to create a stock.
The final characterization of the prosthetic restoration is achieved by using dyes, glazes and through the ceramic layering.

A new generation of white Zirconia with high translucency:

APPLICATION
It is used to realize single crowns, bridges or “full contour” elements. In any case, it is possible to do ceramic layering.
Dental technicians, because of productivity and competitiveness, ask for very high milling and firing speed, together with the best aesthetic results, characteristics that are not always easy to optimize together.
Nevertheless, translucency is a a feature that must be related to other characteristics, that are very important for healthcare when using Zirconia for the dental field.
The CONCEPT challenge is to create a material that fulfil the requirements of the modern orthodontics, considering the responsibilities towards patients' health, with a product that is able to guarantee very high technical and functional performances (flexural resistance, resistance to acid attacks and aging).
ZYTTRIA® Z402 EXTRA-TRASLUCENT PLUS was born for this purpose, a new generation Zirconia , very translucent at a low sintering temperature.
ATTENTION!
The final aesthetic results of dental prostheses depend not only on material, but also on the processing.
In order to obtain the best translucency, it is essential that the processing is done with full respect of the material (see our User's Manual/Translucency).

APPLICATION AND CHARACTERISTICS
Zirconia is suitable especially for anterior tooth area, veneers and max. 3 unit bridges for posterior tooth area.
It’s also possible to realize single crowns, inlays or onlays.
As the molding is made by Isostatic pressing Zyttria Z403 ANTERIOR has better technical performances.

Perfect aesthetic
Translucency comparable with Lithium disilicate
Light transmission = 50% approx.
Superior translucency (20% approx.) regarding to other translucent ZYTTRIA materials, Z402 Extra-Traslucent and Z402 Extra-Traslucent Plus.
- Double flexural strenght regarding to Lithium Disilicate
Flexural strength (Bending strength 3 points)= 600 +/-100 Mpa approx., e.g. double regarding to parts made of Lithium Disilicate (250/350 Mpa).
- High resistance to aging
Zyttria® Z403 ANTERIOR is different from other types of High Translucency Zirconia due to a higher content of Yttria (>8,5% of weight).
The microstructure and the allotropic status of Zyttria® Z403 ANTERIOR at room temperature, are completely tetragonal in stable form (with small cubic quantity) if compared to other materials which, however, have a mixed allotropic structure (tetragonal and monoclinic).
This characteristic, in addition to a higher translucency (greater light passage), produces a very high resistance to chemicals and a high resistance to aging.
PROCESSING
ZYTTRIA® Z403 ANTERIOR is suitable for milling also in dry systems, with normal cutters for Zirconia.
In case of water milling, in order to achieve the best result, follow the instructions in the User's Manual.
Pre-colouring process is the same used for other materials with a high Zyttria® translucency.
In order to enhance aesthetic characteristics , use color liquids for brushing technique “AQUA-P for Anterior”, which are specific to colour Zyttria® Z403 ANTERIOR.
This way, it is possible to create devices which are completely anatomical, avoiding the problem of ceramic chipping in the anterior tooth area.

Water based color liquids to give color to frameworks made of Zirconium Oxide.
AQUA color liquids, completely acid free, are designed for every type of Zirconia, for dipping and brushing technique, to achieve a natural translucency result with a very high aesthetic effect.
